On-Farm Leases:
Leasee pays $350 monthly board and is responsible for all costs associated with the pregnancy; for example (but not limited to): cultures, insemination, natal-care, foaling, and care of the resulting foal. Veterinary charges will be billed at actual cost by my veterinarian. You will have to create an account with him. Board continues until foal is weaned and then board switches to the foal. Leasee is responsible for all costs incurred by the resulting foal. There is a one time foaling out charge of $350. Ancan Morgans will be financially responsible for normal vaccines, de-worming, and farrier.
Leasee is welcome to visit Ancan Morgans and their foal as often as they desire; but must call ahead and let us know of their plans to do so. Ancan Morgans will handle and raise the foal as our own. Foal will learn to lead, tie, stand posed (if owner desires), clip, and pick up its feet. Also included in the package will be regular photographic updates.
Off-Farm Leases:
Leasee must insure mare against death or loss of use (riding/driving/producing more foals). Farm/Stable where mare will reside throughout her lease must be disclosed and approved by Ancan Morgans. Mare can not switch stables without the new stable meeting with the approval of Ancan Morgans as well. References; personal and professional (farrier, veterinarian, trainer, etc), are required and will be contacted. Monthly photographs must be sent to prove mare is in good condition. I'm really not interested in doing any off-farm leases - but if you have a piece of heaven for a stable and can prove you are knowledgeable about the feed and upkeep of a pregnant and lactating mare - with iron-clad references to help substantiate your claims, I may consider it... maybe.
