"Melo"

 

Melody is a beautiful mare of wonderful old breeding which is now practically unheard of in only an eleven year old Morgan.  Her sire was Waseeka's Nocturne's last breeding son, and Melody was one of his last daughters.   She resembles her sire very much - with a little more "stretch" which came from her dam, who is also a Nocturne granddaughter.  

Melo was trained to saddle by a youth; her owner's young daughter.  She has been shown on the west-coast by the junior rider, and was successful at bringing home top ribbons.  She has been trail ridden as well.   Although handled and trained by a youth, Melo is best suited only to those who are experienced in riding and handling horses.  Although she is sweet as can be, she is hot, and blowy.   She is very animated; prancy.   She could be a star in today's tough show ring as a pleasure driving or english pleasure mount, if conditioned and training polished.   She stands 15 hands with a beautiful head, lovely, well-set-on neck, a good shoulder and hip with hocks, straight legs and sound hooves.
