Rush has been shown most of his life.  He has successfully carried three little girls through their walk-trot, and junior exhibitor years showing on Class A Morgan circuits.  When the last little girl grew up, Rush didn't have a job.  I took him in thinking I might use him for lessons, then I changed my mind and decided not to do lessons.   I kept him the past year because my pre-teen and teenage barn girls absolutely love him and we trail rode him all of 2012.  He's worked out wonderfully as a "second horse" for friends and family who visited the stable and wanted to ride, but didn't have their own horse.

We've given a few lessons on him - in the outdoor arena, with timid beginners up.  He was perfectly well behaved.

On a trail ride - he's smart enough to know if he has a timid rider up - they won't make him walk through water, and he will avoid a puddle if he can.  With any level of experience rider on board who isn't afraid to say "Rush - get moving!" he will.  He goes through lakes, rivers, streams, and mud puddles. He'll jump downed trees like he was a grand prix hunter-jumper.  For my more experienced barn girls and friends - they just love trail riding him and often have polite arguments over who will get him on the next ride.

He loads and hauls like an old pro.  He stands for clipping, fly spraying, hose baths.  He is excellent for the farrier and veterinarian and up to date on everything.

My oldest barn girl will be sad to lose him.  She has had her eye on him to use for mounted police work for some time.  I just can't justify the expense of keeping him for someone else's use.   That's the only reason I'm offering him.  He's a great boy!
