Ancan Color Guard
(Ancan True Colors x Devonwood Decadence)
Brooke's 2011 Foal

If you are serious about looking for a stunning western pleasure prospect - I've got the one for you. This dark-gold dappled stallion is conformationally correct and will hold his own in an in hand class as well as in performance. He has a pretty head, a fabulous tip at his poll, a great disposition, and a a happy personality. There is nothing mean or aggressive about him. He thrives on attention and has the best willing, "can do" attitude. He is a joy to work with.
He has been handled every day of his life since birth, clips, leads, ties, stands politely for the vet and farrier and has always been current on those needs. Since he is so beautiful, he's a farm favorite with visitors who are so drawn to him they just have to touch him and pet him. He is kind and mannerly; a gentle old soul. He is always found begging at the gate or fence - and will follow you around like a puppy. Sweet boy! He dispels the myth that all stallions are wild and unruly. Even as a proven breeding stallion and sire, he retains his top notch disposition.
CG is smart and confident, yet laid back and easy going in nature. I have suspected from day one that his niche would be in western pleasure, and I still feel that way. He's going to be breath-taking in silver and he sure won't be missed in a class of bays, blacks, and chestnuts. He has been worked and trained casually. While he has been on several trail rides, his arena work isn't complete yet.

Serious inquiries and offers are welcome, but the longer I keep him, the harder it will be to pry him away!

CG's first trail ride; group of four horses. At times he was concerned and uncertain, but he figured it out, willingly went forward, and seemed to enjoy the afternoon.
A joy to train and work. He tries hard to please.
CG's second trail ride; learning about downed trees, rivers, and streams. No problem!
